New Moraitika vs Oud Moraitika

Against the olive groves covered hills on the East Coast of Corfu is the seaside resort of Moraitika. Just 18 km from the capital Corfu Town (Kerkira) and the airport. Moraitika is a pleasant seaside resort with a beautiful and easily accessible sandy beach. A lot of tourists in the high season, but not so much, so it is a nice relaxed group of tourists.

Two parts

Moraitika actually consists of two parts, the original village of Ano Moraitika  (old Moraitika), situated against the hill, and the  Néa Moratika  (new Moraitika): the resort along the coastal road with numerous of supermarkets, bars, restaurants and taverns. The coastal town offers something for everyone, there are clubs and bars open until the early hours, but you will also find families, couples and young people who want to enjoy quiet.

Long sandy beach

Moraitika has a long sandy beach with palm trees and Caribbean-looking straw umbrellas. It is a “Blue Flag Beach” that meets the strict criteria of a clean coast, – sea and a well-groomed nature. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be rented at a low price depends on where you wish to lie down on the beach (photo = Moraitika Beach)

The ARAGORN HOTEL is located along the main road by the beach in the original village 50 m from the ILIOS bus stop. Outside the noise and the crowds, but with the beach and all amenities close to walking distance. Near the hotel you will find several traditional taverns serving Greek specialties, as well as in our ARAGORN PARADISE restaurant  we serve Greek specialties (photo = GREEK PAELLA).

Corfu is a relatively small island, also the greenest island of Greece. This means that all the beautiful places and sights are quickly accessible. There is a lot to see and to do on Corfu. Think of Corfu Town with its Venetian architecture, the beautiful  Achillion Palace or better known as the Palace of Sissi (for info press previous blue link), the ability to make boat trips to exclusive beaches like the Blue Lagoon and to the islands  Paxos and Anti Paxos. Or go to  Aqualand  known as the Europe`s largest water park (for the website press previous blue link), the Angelo Kastro  (Angel Castle) in Paleokastritsa or the shell museum  in Benitses.
